5 weeks after surgery

By Nan Tuesday, April 19, 2011

I guess the posting problem has resolved itself, yea. I'm still not able to do anything with my hand except shower without the splint. Its starting to get annoying. I tried to pluck my eyebrows the other day, no luck, I can't hold the tweezers tight enough yet. My left hand can't take much more, It is sooooo sore. It lives in a splint too most of the time now. I really want to see how this new joint is going to work. My hand really looks kinda odd it has a different shape now. Its so small at the wrist now it makes my fingers look super long. I have pt again today, hopefully she'll let me move it a little more and allow more time out of the splint. Not really anything to tell, nothing has really changed in 5 weeks except the grinding pain is gone which is AWESOME. This experience is definetly a test of patience for a hard headed person like me who hates being kept down or even sitting still for long.

recovery can be so incredibly frustrating. Hang in there.

If you experience any problems with posting again, we you mind sending me a message letting me know what happened and what kind of error it was? I can then forward it to our tech team so they can fix it.

Hi Nan!  Keep up the good work.  Sounds like you are getting better.  Patience is very hard to deal with.  I bet you are about ready to burn that splint!  Good luck and get well soon.  Happy Easter!  :)
