changing meds

hello everyone, i went to my rheumy yesterday and he is changing my meds. I was taking 400mg plaquenil and 10 mg of arava along with some vitamins and ultram. the arava was started in april this year. well about 6 weeks ago i started getting this rash thing on my palm. I asked the pharmacist, he wasn't sure recommended lotrimin. I used it and the rash only got bigger, checked it under a black light it wasn't fungal. my rheumy thinks the arava was doing it, although it has helped with the joints he is switching me to methotrexate 10mg per week and 200 mg of plaquenil.

I am confused as to the switch, mtx can cause all of the same side effects as arava, he said the arava was low dose, isn't the mtx high dose?

 I also had a bone scan done a couple of weeks ago which revealed uptake in all the parts that hurt the most and a lesion on my femur. I've had no injuries there, so he ran bloodwork for cancer cells, SCARY, anyone else have weird lesions on their bones? It doesn't bother me at all. He said he'd call if the test came back worrysome, but also said that he wasn't too concerned about it. but he may want more views of it.

Doctors are strange creatures. you go for answers and leave more confused than when you arrived. Every time you go for a test, you think maybe some answers will come from this one but it only leads to more tests and more concerns.

My body is sick and tired and my brain is sick and tired.
