Hi there!  I have never been on one of these sites etc. but I am now to the point where I am soooo sick and tired of being sick and tired too!!!  I wish I had something consoling to say other than "I hear you!"  I am so sick of all of it too!  At least, you know what it is now though and at least we do have these messages boards etc. where we can vent and share differant things.  I am on metho too.  Just went on it 5 weeks ago.  Seems like every week, there is some new and exciting side effect to deal with.  This might be a dumb question but did you ask your DR. why you are on both?  The other thing I have been doing is when I think of a question, I write it down so that when I go in, I won't forget to ask or report something.  I am sick of that too and feel so much like you do...."just leave me alone".  One day we will get there though.  It will just be a battle for a while as all of this is so new.  Hope that helps a little.  Take care.

I understand fully.  I say this almost everyday.  I am very fortunate that I still work, but today was almost impossible to get up and stay up.  I feel all I do is say I don't feel well.  I am not depressed, but wonder when/ if it will get any better.   I just stopped Orencia and am starting Rituxan.  I have been dx 2 years, still have a sed rate of 65 and I work for a doctor ( a very busy doctor ).  Please take comfort that I feel your pain and wish for all of us that RA could be easier.  Luv, Sister of RA

this is one of those moments where I wonder why they change it if it ain't broken?  I'd recommend you go back and speak to your rheumatologist about why, exactly, he decided to take you off Arava and ask that he prescribes it for you again.

when you have a chronic illness like RA, it's important to be a good advocate for yourself. It is your body, your life and you know better than anyone what works and what doesn't. We are taught to comply with doctors, but it's important to change the power in the relationship from the doctor to you. Check out my post on self advocacy - it may give you some ideas on how to approach this with your doctor. Don't accept feeling like this when you don't have to. You know how to get back to feeling well - go make your doctor give you proper treatment.  I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines! Smile
