Well, I've had this lovely little song running on a never ending loop in my head the last few day.  You know the one from "The Sound of Music" that goes-raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, these are a few of my favorite things...anyway I got...

    hi somedays

enjoy your post.  good outlook.  funny about the mention of the hot tub.  i got mine about 8 yrs ago.  my husband had a prescription for it (had knee surgery at that time) and it was a write off for our taxes.  fortunately, he hates it, so it's basically mine!!  of course, it's summer time here in arizona, and my pool is soo warm right now, it could probably qualify as a hot tub.  but, anyway, i just happened to be draining my hot tub right now.  i've been reading everyone's comments about hot tubs, and being summer and all, i haven't been in it since like march.  but i'm gonna go in tonite.  after the cleaning i'm gonna have to do on the inside (scrubbing calcium deposits), i know i'm gonna be hurting.  just trying to turn the spigot on at the bottom to connect the hose (to drain it) was quite painful.  i have like screwdrivers, allen wrenches, and pliers out there...and that was just to lift the lid on the disconnect!!! Cool but, i did it.  it's draining. i'm mentally preparing myself to do the scrubbing when it drains.  heck, just putting on rubber gloves is painful nowadays!! i can't wait to get in it tonite, if i can get it heated by then!!  good day!

One comment then one question, sounds like it's hot enough you might just leave it for a day or so and it would heat right on up for you.  It will feel good though when you are done.  Don't push it too hard.Innocent  Now my question, what do you use for the calcium deposits?  I have tried a couple of different chemicals and nothing seems to work.  I don't want to nor am able to scrub very hard or long, any suggestions?  I have begun to think the white stuff may be places that the wall is bleached out from the chlorine, what do you think?

it finally got going SUNDAY.  i couldn't get it primed to run. my husband told me to leave it alone and let it sit overnight, then turn it back on.  voila! it worked. by midmorning, it got up to 103.  i went in it. it was a 110 outside, but after all that, i got in it.  as far as calcium deposits...wrong person.  i've got them all over the inside. couldn't scrub 'em off.  it's all inside my filters, drains, etc.  i let it dry out, then when i filled it, these deposits broke off in bits so i just scooped out what i could.

hope you have a pain free day!

Thank you for your share and I love your bike.   I enjoyed reading your favorite things and the positive way you deal with your RA

I have learned some about RA and why it is hard for me to clean ; my feet issues etc.  just by reading your post.

If you have read any of my postings I have shared my anger and my confusion about my health.

I am a newby here and hope to share some of my wisdom as well as learn from people like you.  Thank you again,

    Spirithere54

P.S.  I still have my old 10 speed in the garage just in case.  Not sure what the future holds for me.

Thanks for your comment, and as you can tell from my screen name I am not always that positive. Keep reading, I have had RA for 15 years and I still learn new stuff about it all the time. Hang in there, we all have good days and bad.
