Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 10:23 AMI didn't either! I am Always in pain, so I just Deal! The crazy part of the story is that It was just pain till I DROVE to a friends house who was hooking me up with some LORITABS, just till I got over it! But whan I got home the action of driving pushed me over that threshold, I Couldn't MOVE or take the PAIN anymore, forcing me a to take a trip in the ambulance. I am better though! As long as I can get more Valium before I run out! Interisting that I can get DRUGS OFF MARKET easier than with a Prescription!
I just wanted to share this experience with you all! Thanx for the open Mind and Ear!

The hardest part of having JRA for me is having ADHD! I can't sitt still but thr RA demands me to Chill! thats were Valium comes in! I had never experienced it's calming effect! Although the Doc. gave it to me for muscle spasms it, Its a Miracle Drug for Me! P.L.U.R.

Monday, March 23, 2009 at 08:01 PMWhiplash can be... well, I shouldn't swear at work.
I've had it and if you don't pay attention to it right away, boy, does it ever mess with your life. I'm glad that you had a positive experience in the ER, but it is a sad statement on the lack of compassion in the medical system in general that having a doctor listen to you made such a big difference. Glad you found a way to slow down a bit -
Hi-ever consider antibiotic therapy for RA? Sometimes works

Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 12:32 PMhi Flutterby - can't remember if I've mentioned this to you (don't see it). Some people will respond to the anti-inflammatory action of a certain class of antibiotics (tetracycline family). I have not been on the regime myself, but you can read about it in the book, or website, "The Road Back". It works slowly but steadily, from what people have told me, and it seems to help a wide variety of effects of RA (one woman who has neurological impact seems to think it's helping that as well).
Just mentioning it, I don't have any direct experience, but have personally talked with 2 people on the phone (from "The Road Back" website subscribers). Also take a look at www.cpnhelp.org. There is a certain variety of bacteria (chlamydia but not the STD variety, this one affects the lungs) that don't have cell walls, that can get into the body's immune cells and make your body crazy that way.... also, nerve pain may (might) be helped by fibromyalgia meds, now FDA approved.

Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 11:42 AMWell I have never taken anti-biotics solely alone thoug when i was on Enbrel and Metho. I had multiple lung infections and have always since childhood had bouts of Bronchitis, Tonsilitis, Strep-throat...exct. I would get an infection and the doc would give me anti-biotics, I enden up on them at least once a month, after six months or so of this I stopped all biologics and the metho but could not shake lung infection. I went to see a immunologists who tested my white blood cells against 14 different known infections and my cells were in-active.after a phenumachocial vaccineI was re tested and it showed that I could now fight 13 of thoes infections off. Here is the but! I had been pooping Slime no feces but slime. after a colonoscopy and multitude of other medical tests, no cause was found, so again I ditched that Doc. and saw a wellness practioner, who informen me of the affects of antibiotics twards the natural probiotics in the digestive tract. Once we re intriduced enough probiotics I was then able to actually digest food proporarly, I also stoppeed eating processed food! But I will definately read that suggested material. Although now that I think about it Sulfasalizine is in the Tetracycline family, but I'm gonna go do some reading now!
Thanks much for the advice, you know as well as I do that informing yourself is the best way to be proactive twards an affliction that does not have a "norm" or "standard". Well ..... P.L.U.R. Sincerly, Becky Sue

Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 11:57 AMOMG! So I just checked out that site about Clymidia! First I must say my mother had a histurectomy at 22 from a severe case of Pelvic, Inflamatory Disease. I between 16 and 18 had a miss diagnosis of urinary tract infection, when finally my mom went to the er with me and mentioned her PID, but when tested for all STD's they came up negative, but the doc treated me for PID anyway and I have had no recurance but have severly systic ovaries! Crazy un related story my mother got pregnant while on a BC pill that was marketed in the early 80's, wich did not work as contraception, but did manage to give the children born inspite of this PC pill a T shaped Uterus! Interesting? Mine turns into a Heart shape when I get pregnant! Again I Will Say THANK YOU! I am finding pieces to my puzzle! Peace, Love, Unity, Respect! Sincerly, Becky Sue

Becky Sue, best well-written description of the medical society's sometimes apathy when it comes to chronic pain and suffering. I didn't know you had lingering effects from that accident: I'm truly sorry for your experience and continuing pain. No advice to offer here just a thank you for being cool. COOL, my friend! ....Amy
