I am 41 years old, and have been married for 15 years. I've had RA for 25 years, and have had several joints replaced. I am very active and try to stay positive. It has taken 20 years to successfully learn how to accept my limitations, but I have a good routine and am living well (most of the time) with this disease. I have an extremely loving and supportive husband, large support system of family and friends, but don't know anyone personally who is dealing with this type of disease, on this level. It is what most would call extremely severe. I am interested in all things health related, I love to cook an bake bread. It makes me happy when I can clean, decorate and organize. I am passionately involved in volunteer work, and I love to read (mostly non-fiction). I do not have children of my own, but actively participate in the lives of some amazing kids.
