Well, my worst fears came to fruition a couple days ago.  I tripped over a doggy gate on the side of my house (trying to hike my leg over the top instead of opening it) and *BAM* I fell on all fours!  Now, aside from trying to figure out how to get up with all my limbs hurting, I was briefl...

I really hope you feel better "feels like the tinman" ... I just had to comment on your name, I just joined this wonderful site and as soon as I saw it I laughed quite hard. You see this is exactly the way I have been describing myself to everyone! Anyhow I am sorry to hear your arm is broken, but it is funny you refused to go to watch ER :) As for the prednisone causing it, I do know prednisone does put you at risk for osteoprsosis (i go to a natural nutritionist and that is what she told me).

Whoa, Nellie! That sounds like a spectacular way of going splat. I'm very impressed with your ingenuity and creativity in terms of finding alternate way of doing things (and imagining the set up was just a little bit funny). Hope you heal soon!

Gee whiz tin man, when you decide to go for it you really go all out.  I fell the other day also but I didn't break anything.  Sore as you know where though kinda makes me wish I had, I doubt the pain could be any worse.  I too tripped over a doggy accessory, the tie out for my Lab was stuck in the closer on the door when I attempted to step out onto the front porch and went splat.  I wanted to lie there and cry but didn't want anyone to see me laid out on the front porch like that.  Two days later I can not walk far without my hip hurting, you are making me think maybe I better call the doc and go in for an X-ray just in case.  Left-hadad mascara isn't so badTongue outwhen you are left handed.  Hope you are feeling better and finding great ways to laugh and survive the latest.
