newly dx, started plaquenil this week. Life altering dx. What if Plaquenil doesn't work and another 6 months pass by with more damage. Do not want to waste any time before permanent damage is done. Any suggestions??? what is the next step?? Metho?? Hx breast...

Last year I went on plaquenil for 3 months the worse that happened was hair loss and my liver panel came out high. Since then I tried another treatment and now I am in Enbrel, prednisone and pain killers. Not everyone reacts the same so be patient. Good luck with the plaquenil you will never know if it will work unless you give it a chance.

did you find any benefit from the plaquenil?? Did you have so much hair loss you needed a wig?? What treatment if I could ask did they try on you after the Plaquenil?? Are your liver function tests now normal:??
