newly dx, started plaquenil this week. Life altering dx. What if Plaquenil doesn't work and another 6 months pass by with more damage. Do not want to waste any time before permanent damage is done. Any suggestions??? what is the next step?? Metho??
Hx breast cancer with excellent prognosis, what about B cell mediated interevention.
Am I a candidate for that and when could I start. How many people have experienced hair loss to point of needing wig??
Last year I went on plaquenil for 3 months the worse that happened was hair loss and my liver panel came out high. Since then I tried another treatment and now I am in Enbrel, prednisone and pain killers. Not everyone reacts the same so be patient. Good luck with the plaquenil you will never know if it will work unless you give it a chance.
did you find any benefit from the plaquenil?? Did you have so much hair loss you needed a wig?? What treatment if I could ask did they try on you after the Plaquenil?? Are your liver function tests now normal:??
