It has been about 3 1/2 years since the mean and ugly Rheumatoid Arthritis became full blown- like an atom bomb in my body. I have dealt with it 24/7 since then and I am ready for a break!   Up until then, I was like everyone else in the world with symptoms that would come and go...   B...

Oh, I hear you!  I've lived with this thing for over 40 years now and the idea of having a break from it for a week is intoxicating.  I try not to think about it too much, though - it just makes me want to bang my head against the wall. Smile

    OUCH~

    Oh no, please don't.

I guess my mind was undisciplined and so I was thinking irrationally. Most things do have an end - like childbirth pain. This track is more circular though...

Just dreaming of crossing the finish line. :D

Not irrationally at all.  Well OK, so maybe not entirely realistic, but boy, it would be nice.  But what would happen if we refused to take the RA back afte rthe vacation?

THERE MIGHT BE  "HOPE"  THAT YOUR RA MAY BE GONE FOREVER!  THE MARSHALL PROTOCOL  HAS TESTIMONIES OF PEOPLE BEING CURED FROM RA AND OTHER DISEASES!  IT MAY TAKE AWHILE BUT IT IS WORTH IT!

    Hi

I can tell you that from the experience my daughter has had with a naturopath recently that RA can be helped enormously.  Joint pain almost disappeared, just a slight stiffness in fingers first thing.  She was given probiotics, tested for food intolerances and many were found.  She went on a special diet cutting out all these foods and the improvement (after the Herxheimer reaction) was amazing. She could clench her fist, walk upstairs normally etc.  She has done a Humaworm cleanse as parasites can also be a problem.  Google Leaky Gut (IBS) and RA. Leaky Gut is what she was originally treated for.  Try it.  I cannot bear to think of others suffering.  By the way she had some MTX but it did nothing to help.

Girl, tell me about it.  I just spent the last 3 days vomiting from taking methotrexate.  I feel so frustrated and aggravated.  I'm so sick of being sick.  I'm so sick of everything to do with RA.  I'm tired of explaining myself, I'm tired of feeling alone with what I deal with, I'm tired of asking for help, I'm tired of people assuming they know what I live with everyday when they have no idea, and I'm tired of taking one pill after another.  I feel like I have a pharmacy in my bedroom.  My hairs coming out from the medicine.  I'm tired of keeping a positive attitude all the time.  I know todays just a bad day but sheesh I feel like pulling out the little bit of hair I have left, haha.

    Jeanne,

It has been a few weeks and I am still looking for that vacation! Cool

I am sorry to hear about the mtx. side effects. I have been able to "push through it" with the advice of my doc. so that the side effects lessened eventually. However, they come and go. I chew a lot of pepto bismol tablets...

But, I wonder: have you already tried to switch to injectable mtx.? That helps some people. My doctor also increased my folic acid to help reduce the side effects.

I hear you: sick of being sick. And, sick of the whole invisible and evil disease. Yep.

Totally over it. Now would this nightmare please just end?!!!!!!

...Meanwhile, back in reality, nice to meet you, Jeanne.

    Kelly  Cool
