Thankful For Meds

Vanessa Collins Health Guide
  • I was preparing to cook dinner Wednesday night when the phone rang.  It was my  husband.  He was on his way  back from a business trip and I was expecting him at 7 p.m.

He was driving down the highway toward home when a deer jumped out in front of him.  He hit the brakes and avoided that deer.  A moment later another...very big...deer was in front of his car and he hit it.  His car was disabled. He was fine.

Before he told me all of this he asked how I was feeling, and I told him fine. And I was fine.  A few months ago I would not have been able to jump in my truck and drive 45 minutes to where he was and pick him up and bring him home. BTW, I'm glad I saw him before I saw his car.  He drives a Ford Escape Hybrid and most of the front of the car was just a mess. He is fine.  The Escape absorbed all the crash and he only felt a slight bump, he said. We received the estimate to fix the car yesterday..8500.00.  I am so happy and feel so blessed that he was not harmed in that accident.

The big point of this story is that without the help of my doctors and the medication they prescribed, I would be confined to my couch most days. I am very, very thankful for what I am able to do now.

I am feeling blessed, and just wanted to share my good news.  Hubby is okay, and I was able to drive to where he was and pick him up.  No problem! Smile
