I have had a very stiff and painful last three days. My fingers seem to be getting more stiff as the days go by. I was worried about work, since I spend a lot of time on the computer, but I think I can still type as long as the fingers just go up and down. You really don't have to bend your fingers much to type on a keyboard. I have decided to accept whatever comes. I can't change it. In addition to that, my knees, hips, ankles and feet are giving me a lot of trouble. I don't walk up the stairs to our bedroom anymore. This is embarassing to say, but I sort of crawl up the stairs. It is so much easier on my hips and knees, and I get there a whole lot faster than if I try to walk normally. My neck is also painful and feels weak. I think I am going to talk to my doctor about PT to try and strengthen my muscles. My legs are also sore and weak. I don't really understand what is happening to me. I am going to have a long talk with my ortho on Wednesday when I see him to discuss the results of my hip MRI. Is it possible that OA and EOA can be this painful and debilitating...??? I have seen older people in the shape I am in, but I will be 57 on the 17th of this month. The people I see that are this stiff are usually up in their 70's. I guess it is one day at a time. I have started taking Chloroquin. My rheumy thinks it will help a lot. We shall see. I feel for all you RAers out there. I cannot imagine what having RA must be like, if I am in this much pain and have this much stiffness with just OA and EOA.
Wishing you less painful days and many blessings.
