Flexibility Is The Key To Living With A Chronic, Painful Condition

Vanessa Collins Health Guide
  • Hello my RA friends...and my few, but well-informed EOA amigas!

I was feeling great this morning.  My chloroquine is helping a lot, but.....I am not like I used to be.  I forgot that. Sometimes I need a keeper! Wink

I have learned that being flexible is the key to living a happy life in spite of the pain and fatigue of this condition.  For instance, if I am invited somewhere, or if I have a meeting to attend, I say that I intend to come, but I can't guarantee that I will be there. After a while, people beging to understand and are very accomodating.  Their attitude allows me to participate in life, despite the ups and downs of the pain and fatigue. People really are understanding, if I take the time to explain my limitations.

Okay, I am off to have a nap. I really did overdo it today. Tomorrow I will do a better job of taking care of myself!

Wishing all a less painful, joyful day,
