I Am No Longer Fighting Surgery

Vanessa Collins Health Guide
  • Hello, everyone,

Suffice it to say I had a really rough weekend pain wise. Finally got ahold of my Orhthopedic surgeon's NP, and I am so thankful for that woman. She called in a Medrol pack and Celebrex. It took all day w/my knee propped up on pillows and ice wrapped around my knee, but I am finally out of pain.  It hurts, some, but not the level 9 I experienced all weekend. I'm taking Tramadol, prednisone, Celebrex, Soma and my normal bp meds.  Trying to make sure I eat to protect my stomach, but without these drugs I would still be suffering. I have an appointment Friday morning to see the doc and have my left knee looked at. I'm thinking torn cartilage, and/or torn ligament. My knee is swollen, and very, very tender. Thank you Lord for NP's who care.  I am done fighting surgery.  They can do whatever they think they need to do to improve my quality of life. If cutting off my leg would have ended the pain I was in this weekend, I would have seriously considered it.  And, so........surgery is my new best friend. Wink
