Great article..its so important to try and see things through someone elses eyes for a change. We get so wrapped up in dealing with our diseases sometimes its hard to remember to stop and say, how do YOU feel about all this?

Great article..its so important to try and see things through someone elses eyes for a change. We get so wrapped up in dealing with our diseases sometimes its hard to remember to stop and say, how do YOU feel about all this?

My husband and I have talked openly about how my illnesses, RA and others, have affected our relationship and I have to say I'm so grateful for finding a man who loves and cares for me as much as I love him, despite my illness. I'm so happy you have such a close relationship with your husband too. I met my hubby after I was diagnosed, but before the RA got really bad. I know it hurts him to see me sick and in pain and not be able to make it all go away, but the love and support he provides on both my best and worst days is what gets me through. We work hard to keep our relationship alive while so many of our favorite activities are no longer possible. But we've found new ways to enjoy time together and we're both just happy being together and loving each other that we don't have do go anywhere or do anything special to have a wonderful time with one another. I wish everyone had a loving spouse like mine...but I'm not sure if I'm willing to share my hubby with the rest of the world! LOL

That is great, Carrie Ann.  So happy to hear that you and your husband are fighting this disease together, too.  A spouse's support means so much.

What a blessing to have such a husband.  As one who has lived alone for more than twenty years, I am suffering from envy, but also glad for you and him.
