Well, I've had a turbulent year and a bit trying to get pregnant (with no success).  (This post is a bit of moan, if the title didn't give it away ... Wink)  I've been on so many meds that my weight has ballooned so, although we gals can enjoy shopping, this is not a happy reason to be buying new clothes!  We've decided to give the fertility stuff a break for a few months to let my body recover ... only for my arthritis to flare up and progress; it has now appeared in my right hand and left jaw.  The latter is the most disturbing as it impacts my speech and seeing a fatso in the mirror every day is bad enough without having a swollen face, too.  When it's bad, the swelling makes my teeth misaligned, which is worrying as I know that - unlike many of the other parts of my body! - I have (had) perfect structure and teeth.  My rheumy wants to put me on azathioprine so we'll see if that helps.  I've read that the jaw can be the last place that RA appears though I'm terribly demoralised that, with my private doc thinking that I should "grow out of it" soon, it's actually going in the opposite direction.  So, with all this, I've been terribly emotional.  (Homeopathic remedy pulsatilla helped stop random bouts of weeping.)

All that said, I've finally been well enough today to get on the cycle machine for 45 mins so a few calories have gone bye-byes.  But the thought of taking yet more meds is not a welcome one.

Any comments on what to expect with azathioprine would be welcome - as would thoughts on natural remedies that would help break down the steroids (prednisolone) that I was on until recently; just 3 weeks of the stuff had a notable impact on my body.

I'll sign off with my other half's term of endearment for me at the moment ...
