I was just diagnosed with RA. Pain is at its worse in the morning. I moved my craftmatic bed back into my bedroom. It makes it so much easier to get out of bed with the least pain. Moving around early in the morning, a little exercise, coffee, breakfast and meds help me get my motor running.

I taught for a couple of years (NYS), and didn't continue because I didn't have the energy - and that was long before I was diagnosed! Working in schools requires massive energy, in order to meet the kids and their situations where they are ... (not to mention the teachers, I guess, if you're a principal!)
You might want to check out the information for the newly diagnosed elsewhere on this site... Hope that you find it helpful!
If you're clearly diagnosed and have the necessary meds, you are off to a good start! The first year can be a roller-coaster, trying different meds etc. to find out which ones work for you - so don't be discouraged if there are some false starts. Best of luck!
