I was diagnosed a year ago with rheumatoid arthritis.  I am 69 years, in very good health prior to RA, and ill will a virus for a month before it "hit" ovenight.  I am not exaggerating.............overnight !!!

At that exact happening, my smoking habit ceased.  The blood tests diagnosing my RA also showed all lipid levels normal (for the first time that I can recall).

After months of denial, learning everything I could about RA and the meds perscribed for it, adjusting to a pompus RA specialist (left him after 4 visits and my PCP is treating me), adjusted methotroxate doses to MY needs, did not fill the perscriptions the RA Dr. would give me, and basically became my own doctor. 

My reason for replying is that I have been taking Chinese Meds for 3 mos., am pain free, and feel quite well.  I still experience tiredness, respond to drop in barometer,

but FOR ME this is a blessing.

I am trying to find alternatives to enbrel since my insurance is gone and having RA ensures that no insurance plan will take me. Can you tell me what Chinese drugs worked for you, and any tips on finding a practioner? Was he/she an acupuncturist? Thanks in advance.
