Allow me to share some good news. Just got some blood test results, and for the first time, my neutrophils are on the low end of normal (they're the inflammatory white blood cells...). It's good for RA, yet I wouldn't want them to go any lower (because they also protect against bacterial infection)! and this is 7 days after my most recent Enbrel injection. Sounds like my doc was right to tell me to try and back off gradually to maybe once a week...and maybe that's why I'm able to go without Celebrex too. All that green tea must be accomplishing something... But - doesn't mean my wrist still doesn't hurt like hell if I use it, however! It's still a mess inside, bone-wise, looks like Swiss cheese - _
And my neck has been a lot better since the chiropractor nailed the one that was out of line. As in the past, I had a knot (thought it was muscle) on the upper left side of the cervical vertebra (yeah, I know, it's enough to make one nervous. However, I assumed this was just a muscle knot, as I have said...) Two previous chiropractors had used the 'activator' on that area, with great success. So I asked her to do the same. She had it adjusted a little to high the first hit, so I asked her to knock it down. She turned it down, and did the tap again (still a bit too strong for my taste) and the 'knot' disappeared without a trace. No pain, no soreness, just gone. I'm not sure "wow" describes it! It has not come back. From past experience, this has to be done occasionally, and now at least, I've got her to understand what's needed.
I've got the next two days off from work (Fall break at the university), and I'll be seeing the rheumatologist tomorrow, and my acupuncturist on Friday. I'll also be taking 2 short side trips to visit labyrinth walks, one at a Yoga center, one at a church. Should be a nice break!
