I feel much better after my surgeries

By ragirlbetter Tuesday, September 04, 2007
I have gone through alot in my battle with rheumatoid arthritis.  I have had this about 15 years and had to go through so much to finally consider myself somewhat "normal" now.  I would love to talk to people that are just going through this or have lost hope and just talk.  I was in a support group before and talking really got me through some HARD times.  I can also be reached at aliciaowens111@sbcglobal.net.

I was diag. w/ra almost 5 yrs ago. No surgeries thus far, but have been thru alot as most people do. At the moment, I am on Humira and hoping to go back to remicade as soon as insur. kicks in. Had to go back to wk as financially could not live off disability. I have a very low key job where my emp. is very sympathetic toward my ra. I'm really lucky in that respect.

I would like to know about your surgeries, how you're doing, etc.

I had an aunt that had ra when I was a child back in the 50's & 60's that suffered terribly with it, even went to mayo clinic, nothing could be done.

Hi Linda, I'm doing quite well after my surgeries thank you.  I also am on Humira right now, and it seems to help alot.  Please do all that you can to make sure that your cartiledge doesn't wear down from inflammation so you won't have to endure surgeries like I did.  Pay good attention to your diet, drink plenty of water, and make sure you exercise.  I am currently taking MonaVie juice and it has made all the difference in the world for getting rid of my inflammation.  I hope these suggestions help you.
