Going to biologic tomorrow 11/5/08 right now taking Imuran,  Naproxen,  Folic Acid,  Oxycodone,  Tegretol,  Ferrous Sulfate and Flexeril

About Me

I am a 38 year old woman who was diagnosed with RA and Lupus two years ago. The pain has been unbearable to the point of several times over the past couple of years losing my breath due to the pain and taking a trip to the ER. I called my Rheumy today as I have new pain that has started in my right shoulder and right hip. Before this 'new' pain the general areas have been my ankles, feet, knees, wrists, fingers, elbows and even my jaw. I am meeting with my doc tomorrow to discuss my starting biologic meds, but I am very nervous not only about the side effects but also about administering them to myself via injection. That scares me. I am so scared about my future and if I will be walking five years from now and I am even considering if I should let my fiance 'off the hook' by setting him free of what could be constant need of care. This pain is very confusing and it's hard to get an answer on what my future holds, I'm scared.
