I am going to be starting on beta blockers in a couple of days cause my heart muscle is thickening... And i'm wondering if any of you take beta blockers also..and if there are any problems with mixing them. I asked my Rheuma..and she said..."some you can..and some you can't" Doesn't tell me much. lol

I'd recommend that you Porsche rheumatologist for more detail, asking her to give you enough information that you feel safe in taking the medication. You may also want to talk to your pharmacist about it, as they can often be very helpful.
I take lopressor for hypercardiomyopathy and methrotrexate, and enbrel for my RA. The side effects that i get with taking these meds together is extreme tiredness. I learn to space them out and not take them so close together. This seems to help with the tiredness. My cardiologist was concern about me taking prednisone and the beta blocker together. They do not mix well. Investigate and find the answers you are looking for, they are out there. Don't stop until you feel comfortable with the answer. Good Luck
Thank you Tee, I'm already tirerd all the time..from the RA & methotrexate... I can't even imagion being more tirerd! I'm not looking forward to this..ugh..it's always something :/
