Injecting one's self!

By dryeyes2 Sunday, June 21, 2009

I'm doing the metho shots now-and just wondering if there is any rhyme or reason as to how often you inject. For instance...my husband does it in the same area on my stomach-each time, and it seems to work so far. But can i continue to keep doing it there, or will that cause problems later on down the road-and if so-what is the best way to do this?

Thank you

Ya ever have "one of those day's"??

When I get my shots, we move around on my stomach. One week doing it on the right side, the other on the left and then back to the right. I'm not quite sure why this is, but every time I see literature about injecting yourself with various RA medications, they suggest moving around, not doing it in the same spot every time.

Ok..good to know. I had been wondering about this & thought i should probably not be doing it in the same area each time. But i had got used to this one side. Thank you

The docs told me to alternate sites to avoid soreness or bruising. Also, I think this way you know where you put it and can monitor it just in case.
