Brenda
As the other member stated each cas is different. As for me I have had three hearings with the SSI Disability Judge and have been refused all three times. I came to the hearings with over 200 pages of medical history for them and doctor reports and tests and at the last hearing they had me see one of their doctors. After a very brief physical exam (now mind you not one MRI or Xray was done by this doctor) he determined in his report that though my work level was very limited and the most I could do would be a desk job that I was not eligible for disability. The VA after 2 years of fighting with them did finally give me my disability but this is very limited and if my wife was to work and earn more than 500.00 a year they will deduct that additional from my check dollar for dollar. So you may be in the same situation as I am and it could be a long road the best thing if you do get refused is to find a good lawyer that specializes in disability and have him represent you because to go it alone as I did is a big mistake.
