About Me

I am married and all our kids (combined there are7) are grown and gone with families of their own. My husband and I have our 2 "babies" that we adore. TJ is a 80lb. Lab and Belle is a 6 lb. Morkie (Yorkie-Maltese hybrid). I have suffered from Fibromyalgia pain for over 15 yrs. Then discovered I had Osteo and R/A. I was taking Methotrexate since 2003 but recently just stopped. I didn't have any bad side effects that I could pin point to the Metho, excet the hair loss. I knew there would be "some" as my doctor put it, but I suddenly realized that I had lost about 1/2 of the thickness of my hair. I suffer from depression bad enough without adding the low esteem from losing my hair. I also am a type 2 diabetic and just tested cancer free after 5 years from Uterine cancer that was thank God caught early. I had radiation but luckly no chemo. I have lived with pain for so long that I accept that I will be in pain everyday. Some days are worse than others as I'm sure you all know. I was using Celebrex before the Metho. but my rheumy. changed my meds. I was taking 7 pills, one day a week and each one was 2.5 mg. I read a site that I can't seem to find again about other women that had stopped due to the hair loss and other side effects and have been taking lots of Biotin and B6. It's only going on 3 weeks off it but hope to see less hair fall out soon.
