If I want to get pregnant

By Elizabeth Tuesday, September 11, 2007

Hello, I'm Elizabeth and I am 21 years old. I'm having problems with medications for arthritis because many of them are dangerous to a potencial baby.

Now, I'm not married or anything yet, but I'm hoping to be within 5 years or so. I am a practicing Catholic who does not believe in birth control, either. I was wondering if anyone knew of any medicines I could take that wouldn't be dangerous to my furutre children. This means something I could be taking now, that I could continue taking when I am married and hoping for children. This also means something I could continue taking during the pregnancy and breast feeding. Are there any such drugs?

I was taking Methotrexate for several years, but I decided to stop after a while. I know that sometimes there are certain "detox" methods you must go through to be save to have children, are there any associated with methotrexate?
