I have some interesting info about how food intolerances may play a major role in RA!

I would really like to read it. I've had some strange stuff happen to me as far as food goes. Could you email it to me?

Hey! I am glad you read that. I have had allergies all my life and have already been diagnosed with classical food allergies through skin prick tests. These are pecans, bananas, cantaloupe, etc. But there is a major difference in skin allergies and food intolerances. For right now to get you started, refer to the website, "conqueringarthritis.com" and then read about the alcat test. It costs $647, but I am having my blood drawn today because I believe it can help. It tests 150 foods, 20 molds, ten NSAIDS, and like 20 environmental polluntants. It tells you on the cellular level what you are intolerant to. After reading Barbara Allan's book, I fasted on a veggie juice (YUCK!) diet for 4 days. On day 3 and 4, I was about 85% symptom free. Honest to God. I felt great. In order to test for foods, you introduce one at a time. Well to break the fast, I had a green apple. The next day I woke up feeling like a pretzel trying to get out of the bed. Anyway, long story short, I think apples are a problem for me. But in order to test more, I would have to fast again til I felt better. I was so depressed and hungry. So, I was researching her website some more and noticed that she had listed the alcat test on there. I charged it to a credit card and ordered it. They send a mobile phlebotomist to draw your blood. I am really excited. In her book it stated that if you felt better while fasting you most likely DID have food intolerances. She had reactive arthritis, which is similar to our RA. She got it at 25, my age, and was in a wheel chair by 29. I feel like I am headed there. Mine is severe! Anyway, she studied for years and discovered she was allergic to corn, etc. She stopped eating it and is walking again. Seriously....she is awesome! Read her website. You could be a pessimistic person, but give it a try. I am a believer. I do not want to be on medications forever, so I am going to do this thing! I will keep you updated, but do some research. They say food intolerances lead to inflammation...and well you know what inflammation means! So, try it out. I should have my results in about 10 days. I will let you know. Read about that alcat test on alcat.com. Seriously, just look at it! I am so glad you replied! Have a blessed day!
