Always Tired!

By nicolynn Sunday, May 27, 2007
I'm so happy to have found this forum - it's one thing to know that there are others out there with similiar experiences as your own, but it's an even better thing to know where to find them!  I've been having a difficult time for the past week or trying to get back on a routine, or sorts.  My sleep schedule is non-existant, and just overall I have zero energy.  I had to get off Enbrel for about a month, and now that I'm back on it, it seems like it's taking forever to get back to a good place.  It took me years to find a drug regiment that works well for me, so when it gets messed up I feel like I'm back to square one.

What was most difficult for me years ago was trying to accept that I would not get better from this condition.  It would either be more or less managable.  Luckily, I have a very honest Rheum who answers my questions directly, although he still holds on to the hope that there will be a cure.  I told him that if that were to ever happen, that he'd be out of a job!  For now, I'm glad I found a combo of meds that works well enough to allow me to have a more 'normal' life.  It's hard for friends and family to understand what this is like, and even my boyfriend still doesn't understand it and we've been together for almost 4 years.  I know it gets better, it's just the waiting that takes time and patience.
Yawn, but to no avail...
