Thursday, March 06, 2008 at 05:09 PMThank You Brenda,
I just had the infusion yesterday and so far so good. I think it gave me a burst of energy it may be the high dose of prednisone that they injected prior to rituxin though. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I have had ra for 15 years and have already had a total shoulder replacement which I had an awesome doctor do and have not had any problems with it it has been 3 years since my surgery. I am 37 years old and about 8 months ago I started to feel pretty horrible to say it mildly. I have a good family as well but sometimes the pain gets tooo intense that you just want to crawl into a cave or in my case my bedroom. Then i get past it and get happy and move on. It is definately a struggle as i am sure you know exactly what i mean. How have you been feeling lately? I live in California and the weather has been so cold that i have had the worst pain this winter than ever in my life. write back when you get a chance.

Monday, July 14, 2008 at 01:18 PMI have read this post as my Dr has recommended Rituxin. I have been reading side effects and am scared as well. I have been a "non-responder" to Orencia and has serious central nervous system side effects to Enbrel...SO... little options out there for Biologics. (I am side -effect prone on several drugs I have tried) The risks just don't seem worth it and I have gotten uused to just not feeling up to par...my new normal! So-I as wondering how you all are now doing on Rituxin?
Janet
