The stress I was having is that I take a blood thinner for a rare blood disease, coumadin keeps me from throwing blood clots to my lungs or heart or brain, that could be a problem ...

Thanks for a great SharePost! I know that Prednisone is not an easy drug to take, but I'm so glad to hear that it is alleviating some of your RA symptoms.
Congratulations on organizing a new arthritis support group! Please keep us up to date on how that's going and what your group discusses- it will certainly be of interest to our community.
Also, I'm pulling together a list of recommended reading for our RA community and would love to include any suggestions you may have. I think this would be a great resource for anyone coming to our site.
