Hi,

I have been diagnoised with RA 1 month ago (July 16,2007). After various blood tests, the Rhuematologist concludes that I have RA with Sjogren's disease synodrome. He has prescribed the following medicines:

  • Celebrex 200 mg (Daily)
  • Medrol 4mg (Daily) - Steroid.
  • Methotrexate 2.5 mg (Daily for 3 months)

But i havent started taking these medicines with the fear I will gain alot of weight and it will also cause hair loss. It is painful every morning, but I am awaiting to get a second opinion before I begin on such strong medication.

Please advice.
