congratulations on getting out of denial (one my favorite sayings is denial ain't just a river in Egypt....) - living well with this disease requires facing reality. When you face reality, you can do research and information is key to feeling in control of what can at times be a situation in which you don't have a lot of control of what your body has decided to do.
We have a wonderful and very supportive community here and I am so glad the other users were able to be there for you in a way that was helpful. Good luck with your rheumatologist - you may want to check out this post about five signs that you found a good one and if yours doesn't meet any of those criteria, remember that there are other options out there for you. Your mythologist will be your partner in battling this disease and it's important that you can develop a good relationship with each other. another post that might be helpful is one about how to be a good advocate for yourselfremember that although you are on the same team, you are the team leader and get to make the decisions.
