I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my last post with advice and hope that really helped me to realize that others will help me carry this and I don't have to be so brave or alone all the time. I also wanted to thank Jane for sharing her talents in her comic strip it actually helped me explain this-RA to my husband Who for all his love and efforts at understanding what I was telling him he just didn't get it; but his understanding is getting better as I continue to print relavant comics for him. I see my doctor later this week -I'm actually nervous about it. I think I went through a stage of denial and thought I could do this without him or that I wasn't as sick as all that but in the last eight weeks I have found out differently. I'm hoping for better days!

congratulations on getting out of denial (one my favorite sayings is denial ain't just a river in Egypt....) - living well with this disease requires facing reality. When you face reality, you can do research and information is key to feeling in control of what can at times be a situation in which you don't have a lot of control of what your body has decided to do.
We have a wonderful and very supportive community here and I am so glad the other users were able to be there for you in a way that was helpful. Good luck with your rheumatologist - you may want to check out this post about five signs that you found a good one and if yours doesn't meet any of those criteria, remember that there are other options out there for you. Your mythologist will be your partner in battling this disease and it's important that you can develop a good relationship with each other. another post that might be helpful is one about how to be a good advocate for yourselfremember that although you are on the same team, you are the team leader and get to make the decisions.
