Hi Jen

I'm surprised to find we have been going through some similar problems, changes and decisions.

Great post, Jennie.  Reading your words, I could feel some of what you are experiencing.

My home has stairs, too.  We built this house 12 years ago.  I always wanted a Cape Cod style house, so we built a modified Cape Cod of sorts. What was I thinking?!? LOL

We have decided that if need be, we will have stair lifts installed. Unless of course, I am really having issues, and then we will have to move to a one level home. A couple of months ago, I literally had to crawl up the stairs. That was scary.  I am doing better at the moment, though.

Best wishes to you and your family in your new home.  I feel certain you will be happy there, and life will be much easier for you.

Blessings,

V

there are some great tips on making daily life easier in this post, as well as a really good attitude about losing something important to you. Congratulations for looking at the bright side of things! (great… Now I'm not going to be able to get that song out of my head for the rest of the day)
