I am not surprised that many people have both conditions. There could be many reasons why. I do note, here in the blog world and in my life's world that people are presenting more often than not with more than condition and I see inflammation as a common denominator.(I was a drama geek, so there is my math word du jour) I can't list (too lazy) all the health conditions my partner has, but inflammation has, of late, been connected to all of them. Her test for inflammation was off the scale and duh. Now, I wonder, is this new? If so, what are we doing, or have done to get so hot? The answer to THAT question will be a key to open many doors.

    Hi Diane,

I think you're onto something.  What has caused so much inflammation and the diseases which result from that?  Some folks might stick with diet as being the culprit, or with exposure to toxins.  I honestly don't know and wouldn't feel comfortable pushing any one idea.

I'm one of those patients who has multiple inflammation-related diseases.  And when one seems to flare up, the others do too to some extent.  When I eat too much processed food, it just gets worse.  My hands are a good barometer for whether a food agrees with me or not.

But, I hope to hear some good news regarding your partner.  It seems that she has really had an extraordinarily tough time lately.  I hope that you both are doing well more than not.  In the meantime, Happy Halloween!!

Lene, you're very welcome and thank YOU.  Look for a post next week on the Diabetes site regarding Complications of having Rheumatoid Arthritis and Diabetes.  Very interesting how our RA meds can be both beneficial and detrimental to diabetes.

I am enjoying this series and learning a great deal.  Hope others are too.
