HI yes i have a rhuematologist .i live in manchester in the UK.belive me good drugs are hard to get here you have to be realy bad any joint replacements you have to be 70yrs and over before you will be considerd for surgery and some people do pay for drugs that work but are too expensive for our national health service.
once again many thanks ANN.
Ann, it pains me to hear about the difficulty of getting the medications and necessary treatments needed for R/A in the UK. We are really fortunate in the U.S. to have great medical and research also regarding many diffierent medical ailments. I will keep you in my thoughts daily and hope you get some relief from your R/A problems much sooner than later.
I too have RA in the balls of my feet but with treatment on Methotrexate the big balls that occur and the hot on fire pain in my feet has really been lessened to the point I can stop thinking about my feet all the time. I used to think about my feet 100% of the time and now it is more in the 30% range. What treatments have you tried for this. I can't imagine not having the balls of my feet with which to do the simple thing called walking and balancing. It is hard enough for me to walk with RA, Fibro and Lupus SLE. Please let us know what your options are besides surgery.

I forgot to mention I also take Clinoril for the RA. I have been very happy with the outcome of these meds regarding my RA.
