I interviewed Tim Russert once.He was speaking at univerity in Southeastern Virignia where I was worked as a newspaper reporter shortly after graduate school. Did Tim Russert have RA? I don't think I have heard that he did. Another case of using a famous name to get a point across. On the diabetes site thay actually say that Russert had diabetes. Which he did not. Please check your resourses and don't spread misinformation.

No, Tim Russert did NOT have Rheuamtoid Arthritis and the blog post makes it clear that he did not. The point of the post was to let people with Rheumatoid Arthritis know that heart disease is a complication of RA and it's a condition that people with RA must be mindful of and very careful about.

Tim Russert's sudden passing has started conversations between people and their loved ones, between friends and between patients and their doctors, and there's nothing wrong with that. Hopefully, it will prompt some people to take their health more seriously.

We're only sorry to lose him, he was an uncanny journalist and, by all accounts, a wonderful father, friend and colleague.
