In my experience, a combination of Western and alternative treatments works best. I use DMARDs (like methotrexate and the Biologics) to keep my RA suppressed, and naturopathy to increase my core strength and general health and have in the past used a shiatsu massage and acupuncture for pain control and to increase my general health.
