Alternative Treatment

I know I have read several posts on here where others are trying other things besides the darn harsh medications they want to prescibe to SLOW ra down. But right now for me the side effects to those medications are worse then the disease. I am now looking into alternative ways to fight RA and treat the simptoms? Any ideas and sugggestions are welcome.
Thanks

Depression-Is there light out there?

I am beginning to wonder if my thyroid isnt a main culprit in so many of my problems. Lately, i am so depressed i can't see the light of day, and to be honest I DONT REALLY CARE. I cry at the drop of a hat, or realizing that I have no PASSION for anything in life. I wonder if people with children have it better because they have a reason to live. Even though I am newly married, we have no kids and to be honest death looks so good lately. All i...

Well I made it through the wedding with all smiles. Leading up to it was oh so eventful, but I wont bore you with that. What I will bore you with, is what I find so many on here saying, and that is a Rheumy with no heart! Come on now, why are these guys even in business. I went for my check up with my Rheumy, i have a horrible rash, i asked him about it and he said are you taking pain pills, i said yes, he said that is what it is from. Come on ,...

Stupid To Think Others Care

Being newly diagnosed with RA I wanted to be up front with my boss's. I clued them in on everything that has been happening and with the Dr's and treatment of RA. I asked if they would lower by hours to 8 instead of 9.25 and they agreed. Well this lasted ONE DAY. One boss got a bug up his butt and decided he wanted me here 9.25 hours, disregarding my situation, the pain and my request. This really upset me. Then it dawned on me, I am still an...

Ok its been about a month since the RA started and with my last posts i have not yet started ra meds due to some other things that needed treatment. But my question at this point, is pain going to be a daily thing i have to live with, or does it subside at some point, and if so what point does it subside????

Living With It!!! I THINK?

I had my first appointment with a dr on teusday. My RA factor is 599, and he had never seen one that high before, didnt really comment as to whether is it worse at that level, just that it confirms RA.
Other problems going on such as Right lung pain, and severe chest rash, kept him from starting my on any meds for RA. I was frustrated with this, but I understand that RA meds lower the immune system , so I need to get rid of what is wrong and...
