My prayers are with you and your family. I Know there are support groups for Military families. I need to get in them, my son leaves July 1 for basic. But I wonder if there is one for families with medical issues like we face. I'll have to look into it.

I have one son in the Navy, one son in the Marines and one of my twins is leaving for the Airforce in July. I know the stress i feel from worry flares me up I am fine with them being in the miltary its when they leave the united states and not knowing that makes me crazy i just like to hear from him. I can contact his reserve station if i don't hear from him in a long time they might be able to help. But he wanted to do this and we support him. I just know how this stress really does bother my Ra and maybe your right about a support group I think I will look for one thank you and don't worry about your son in basic he will be fine. What branch is he going in?
Thanks for the prayers
Joy

Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 11:02 AMArmy Infantry. I'm proud of him & his decision & terrified as only a mom ( or should that be parent) can be. I'm currently fighting for a diagnosis, but boy do I know what you mean about the stress. I would never want him to know that he has made me sicker with this decision, but now you have given me something else to think(not worry) about. I will have to make sure that I'm well supported. Feel free to e-mail any time. I'm C21tamit@hotmail.com.

Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 03:13 AMHey thank your son for serving. As i am too been in the navy for 8 years and i have been diagnose with RA 3 months ago. Stress does tend to make the flare ups worse as I deal with them on a daily basis as a flyer for the navy. Well thank your son and he is our prayers. Dont worry too much though as I have been over there 5 times and qatar is a safe place.

Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 08:11 AMI will thank my son, and thank-you for serving. I know Qatar is safe and I wish he was still there we emailed everyday but they sent him somewhere else and I haven't heard from him and he said we won't where he was going there was no way to communicate so I am trying not to worry because my body can't function this stress is the worse but my heart knows he will be fine. Thank you for writing and be well.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 05:29 AMThank your son for me too!! I have 2 sons in Iraq, I know the stress of it. My oldest has been there 3 times and this is the first trip for the youngest. They are smart and well trained, I keep telling myself that, but a mom worries. The communications are so much better now than a few years ago, you should hear something soon. Be strong for him and yourself.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 04:35 PMI will thank my son for you too. Please thank your sons for me. How long does it take to hear from them? Saturday will be two weeks. I know no news is good news it just gets me crazy that we don't know where they sent him all we were told is that he wasn't going to be able to communicate so that is what makes the stress.thank you for reminding me that they are smart and well trained.
