About Me

I am from Washington state, currently living in Texas. Army Wife since 2006! :) My Mother had RA also, she passed away in 2007. I believe she was diagnosed in her 40s. I began having severe pain in May 2008 and was first told I had OA. 5 months later I was diagnosed with severe RA. I had 9 sessions of physical therapy in a warm water pool, it helped a little but the medications are helping the most. I enjoy walking, water aerobics, treadmill and stationary bike. Someday I'll start playing tennis again! :) I highly recommend a book called "THE FIRST YEAR Rheumatoid Arthritis: An Essential Guide for the Newly Diagnosed" by M.E.A. Mc Neil. It's great for anyone with RA in any stage... good for families and friends too!
