Celebrate small victories! =)

By SuziKelley Thursday, February 19, 2009

I am so proud of myself, I have to share my small victory!  Smile  My three older boys were gone today (ages 12, 10, & 10) and it was just my 2 yr old son and I at home... and my house was TRASHED!  I popped a couple of vicodin and cleaned my living room and dining room spotless (including under furniture and cleaning out the toy box) and made an awesome batch of beef and noodles, too!  I feel the steadily creeping pain in my shoulders, wrists, ankles/feet, and hips... and I'm sure it'll be extra hard to get up for work tomorrow... but it was so worth it to feel like a "normal" mom for a bit!

I'm so happy!!!

Painkillers are your friend! Smile  Congratulations on having had a great day. There's nothing like a good cleaning bout to make you feel useful and normal (I'm healing from one myself right now, but the glow of satisfaction makes up for it).

I can relate!  Even though you pay the consequences later it still feels worth it to feel normal agian if just for an afternoon.  Thanks for sharing adn hope you have many more good days.
