Congratulations! On the meds working and the new persepctive. It's easy to get lost in the disease and sometimes, it takes someone almost literally pulling you out of it to realize that you are so much more. I'm so glad you found someone who sees the real you.

Have you tried Folate acid with the Methotrexate?  It helps to curb the side affects.

I'm glad your meds are working good.  You mentioned back pain.  I've had RA for 10 yrs and the last 6 mos my lower back has been killing me.  I have a heating pad at my desk at work and use it alot.  I finally got my Rheumy to investigate it.  I have Spondylosis.  It's another form of Arthritis!  Yippee!  Anyway, you might want to talk to your Dr about at CT scan with contrast.  That's how mine showed up.

    Good Luck!

Thank you for your advice, it just so happens i'm having an MRI scan in less than two weeks and we're looking for just that! So hopefully answers are on the horizon! And as my drugs aren't working very well my Rheumy is trying to fix me up with something new which the scan will help with too! OOOO heating pad, sounds lovely, might have to invest!

    Hope you're feeling well,

    Brooke x
