Well I had surgery on March 25th to fuse my knee, there were a few complications but all went pretty well. I got home on the 29th and things were going slow but steady. I can't walk for three months and I'm still in pain but I'm hanging in there. On April 22nd I was back in the hospital to have surgery to clean out the wound, it got infected and I was put on I.V. antibiotics for a week to get it under control. I'm home again,stiil on I.V. meds for 6 weeks then oral meds for 12. The doctor is really watching me closely because of my immune system is so compromised. If the infection gets worse it could trael to my artificial hip and that would be bad. Please pray for my recovery....I will keep you all in my prayers also.
Cyndi Lou, I was wondering how you have been doing because I hadn't heard from you in a while. I am sorry to hear that you have had so many problems. I am glad you are able to stay positive through out all of this though. Please know that I will keep you in my prayers. You are on my prayer chain and I will pray for healing, relief from your pain, and a speedy recovery. Please keep us updated and let us know how you are doing, I was starting to really worry about you! Good luck and best wishes!
Thanks for the prayers. How have you been??? Did you start on the new meds yet?? How are things at home with hubby away so much? I think about you alot and keep you in my prayers always. I hope they can get your RA under control and your pain level minimized. I can't start Enbrel or Humira until this infection is cleared up....maybe 3-4 months,but prednisone is keeping me comfortable...well that and Vicodin..
