good news

By Ruth Thursday, August 04, 2011

I have never posted a Share Post before, but have read this site for 4 years.  I want to share some good news that I received, that my family does not understand, and dismisses as no big deal.  I hope that readers here can share my joy, and maybe give encouragement to other readers.  I started MTX 4 years ago, 2 years ago I started enbrel.  All this time I have been going in for blood work faithfully every 2 months, and seeing my rheumatologist every 4 months.  She would check my blood work,  poke my joints, we talked about how stiff my hands were, what to do about pain.  Last visit she said that my blood work has been so good for so long and my joints so good that I just needed to get blood work done every 3 months and not see her for 6 months.  I felt elated.  Again my family does not understand why I am so excited about this, but to me it means this disease is quiet.  Again hoping others can share my joy, and others who are struggling can hope that they can cut back on visits.

That is great news, Ruth.  A sign that your RA is under control.  I will celebrate with you!  Cool

Great news. You are in remission. Remission is so elusive for many of us so it is indeed a very great news Ruth.
