I was diagnosed back in May with RA.. Have been on MTX and started injections back in Aug because the pills weren't working. Also was taking Sulfasalazine. I also take folic acid and ultram er for pain.. Was on Lyrica but had swelling problems so I am off that for now.. The Ultram Er doesn't work to ...

    I don't have RA, but I do suffer from chronic pain and have degenerative arthritis in my

    Temporomandibular Joint. I first tried heat therapy, then ultram with muscle relaxers. The ultram didn't help much with the pain either, but hydrocodone and percocet helps. The only problem with that is if you are working and driving long distance, the drowsiness can cause a whole other set of problems; not to mention the possibility of addiction. I just strictly adhere to the dctrs orders and do my best to manage. I hope you find a treatment that works for you and wish you well.
