I've also been out of my hobbies because of RA. Some of my hobbies I'm just going to have to live without (strength training, etc.) on the advice of my rheumy, but others have started coming back.
I find that using an electric chisel (sometimes called a "carver") I could do some carving again. I'm stuck with the rest of my woodworking jones because I like to build big haha.
I've discovered I no longer like hot rodding cars -- it hurts too much to be fun anymore, unfortunately. Maybe time will give this one back to me.
I revived some hobbies in the meantime -- like photography -- digital cameras make photography a breeze these days (as long as you can sit at a computer).
Wow! Thats great Berserker! Carving is one thing I have not yet tried. I need to give that a whirl. I hope you can get all your hobbies back someday, they really make life a lot more interesting!
