Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 12:01 PMAnna,
I am sorry to hear that the gin soaked raisins didn't work for you and made you restless. It is very discouraging when trying something new, but don't see any results. Please do let us know what your rheumatologist has to say about this rememdy and if he gives you a few pointers on the best way to take them. I hope your ankle pain won't keep up for very much longer! It's amazing how pain in your ankles can effect almost every movement you make, isn't it? The mixture of ice, sleet, snow, and freezing weather down here in Oklahoma has kept me in constant pain this week as well, but I am trying to stay positive until the weather gets a little warmer. I will keep looking for some natural rememdies and if I find anything I will post them, as I would like to try more of the natural approach as well. Good luck and best wishes, I look forward to hearing from you soon

Wednesday, March 05, 2008 at 11:51 PMA friend of mine e-mailed me this this week. Take a look and try it. I don't personnaly know if it works.
Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 02:51 PMHi Holly, My name is Carol. I also have RA. I read your article and feel your frustration over not being diagnosed. My Rheumatologist thinks I also had this years ago and was never diagnosed properly, but thank goodness, I am feeling better today. I am in remission. I take methotrexate 20 mg once a week. I was on several pain meds and anti-inflammatories. Mobic was the best after experimenting with several. I also drink monavie juice. If you have not heard of it, look it up. Yes I sell it but I am telling you this as a fellow RA sufferer. I have been drinking it about ten months helps considerably with inflammation and fatigue. I can't imagine the fatigue you must have with two young children. It is not a miracle and as you will find with everything, it will take a while for you to feel results. It took me several months of methotrexate to get soem relief. Cry?? Oh my, I cried so much. I thought I would be in a wheelchair collecting disability at this point. It has been about three/four years since my dx. There is hope Holly. Not everyone gets worse. Get support from anyone you can and if you are fortunate enough to have a good husband then half the battle is won. I to married my high school sweetheart but our children are in their twenty's now. please write me back and keep in touch and just in case your interested www.mymonavie.com/carolfell Be well. Carol

Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 11:29 PMHi. My name is Cyndi and I am 45 years old, married, mother of two. I have had RA my whole life (very rare). I have had multiple joint replacements and most were successful. My last one, a knee, got infected and had to be removed. I am currently waiting for surgery to have my knee fused so I can walk again. Don't lose hope. There are many wonderful treatments out there. I have to wait until after my surgery to try something new (currently on prednisone) but I need to heal first. It can be a real downer at times but it certainly makes you stronger. God Bless.

Saturday, March 01, 2008 at 03:22 PMI have heard that Xango can really help with the pain. Xango is a mangosteen supplement, in fact it is the original one. There have been several studies that show the powerful xanthones found in the mangosteen fruit have anti-inflammatory actions. It is worth a shot. I know it has worked for others.

Sunday, March 02, 2008 at 01:35 PMmy father in law tried mangosteen. He ended up spending hundreds (almost four hundred dollars) and he tried it for over three months with no results. He was very disappointed and hundreds of dollars lighter. He has recently tried astaxanthin and has seen a result in less than a week for joint pain. This web site called www.bioastinman.com sells a natural micro algae that shows proven clinical results for RA pain. There is a free ebook on this site and page 35 talks about the results. My husbands co-worker posted his results on the message board there on the site. For RA it takes longer than a week, for my husbands co-worker it took almost a month taking three capsules a day. It is very inexpensive compared to mangosteen and testimonials show for RA specifically .....that it really does work.

Sunday, March 02, 2008 at 02:07 PMI am very sorry to hear that your father-in-law had poor results with mangosteen supplements. Which supplement did he try?
The thing is, in order to receive the full benefits of the mangosteen fruit the entire fruit must be eaten, including the outer pericarp.
Xango is one of the only supplements out there that uses the entire fruit to make its juice. The xanthones found in Xango are powerful antioxidants and they have been shown in several scientific papers to inhibit some of the same enzymes as aspirin. Those two things combined add up to pain relief. But, just like aspirin, there is a chance not all people will respond the same way.
The great thing about Xango is that there is a full money back guarantee. If you are unsatisfied after trying the product for a whole month, you can send back all four empty bottles for a FULL refund.
I have seen it work for several people. I think that is worth a try no matter what.

Monday, March 03, 2008 at 10:55 PMYeah, I didnt refer him to it, he found it on his own in his search for pain relief. He didnt have poor results he had no results.
I sent an email to my mother in law to find out and to answer your question. I didnt want to get it wrong. I am going to copy and paste her email to me:____________________________________________________________
http://www.mangosteen.com/ This is the juice we tried. It has a very strong antioxidant, but we did not see any changes over the month that Paul drank the juice everyday. Send me the information on what you are taking. I'll get it for him to try. Thanks, m

wow, yeah I dont know enough about that product to know that you have to eat the whole thing including the cap to get a result...why would they sell a juice if its the whole thing you have to eat to get a result?
Yeah i guess like you said, there is a chance that not all people will respond the same way.
I dont know if they got any money back. I will ask her, thats good to know though.
Seeing it work on several people is what is so motivating. Just like this astaxanthin that I mentioned. I have heard my mother in law with hip pain, father in law with joint pain, sister in law with recovery from intense workouts, dental assistant with tennis elbow, co workers with RA, my husband with carpel tunnel reap the benefits...OH and me with relief with severe allergies, so I can understand your excitement for your mangosteen product.
We are all in this world together so all and every remedy is a blessing in my opinion. I just saw how my father in law thought that this astaxanthin was the same thing as mangosteen and he didnt want to try it but he did and only after four days received a result.
Did you see the free ebook on that web site. It is super informative, you should check it out, its like 100 pages long.

Monday, March 03, 2008 at 11:36 PMI am all for finding the right treatment for the right person.
I am currently a medical student at UCLA so I am really just for making people better. So, if you find something that works, SHARE THAT NEWS!! I will check out the ebook for sure.
And to clarify, the whole entire fruit: Pericarp, Seeds, and Pulp go into every bottle of XanGo. That is how it provides all the benefits of the Xanthones.
Here is a good video about Xango Juice itself:

Thursday, March 06, 2008 at 12:37 AMLike Carol mentionned the MonaVie Active juice has helped my husband. He's been taking it since end of May 2007 and won't stop. The MonaVie Active juice has anti-inflammatory, antioxident and omegas, everything to help the joints.
Visit the monavie.com site and check it out. I am also a distributor, you must sign up in order to buy the product, just like at Costco. I don't want to take anything away from Carol, I just wanted to state the fact that the juice works.
I feel bad that all of you are suffering from this disease and that I know for a fact that MonaVie has a great part to do with my husband feeling hardly any pain. Just so you know, he was almost 3 months he could not work, he was in such pain until he tried MonaVie. It took about 3 weeks before he really say a difference. The disease took many years to do the damages so you must give it some time to heal also.
I wish you all a great recovery.

Thursday, March 06, 2008 at 02:05 AMI have heard a few positive things about monavie as well but i am a little perplexed at the multi-level marketing that this company has created in just a matter of months. It makes me wonder if the stories are really true or if they are trying to push a product. I was given a bottle in december and its still under my desk at work. I wonder if its still good...(i have my space heater down there too!!) Its very costly ($35/bottle) right? Clennon how long does a bottle last? just curious?! But if it really works....like the mangosteen or the astaxanthin then its worth every penny. I guess what ever works for the individual person... since not everything works for everyone. I am just happy that there is an awareness out there and that we all want to help.

Thursday, March 06, 2008 at 09:37 PMHi Suzanne,
In a botle you have a bit over 25 oz., the reccomended dose is 2 to 4 oz per day. My husband started out with 8 oz/day to boost his intake (somewhere he read that a lady ws taking a bottle/day ) so he figured even if he took more it would not hurt. Remember, this is all natural fruits, the only knowne side effect is that you will have diarhea, because it is cleaning your system. If this occurs just bring your dozage down.
My friends that are using it usually take 4 oz/day so your bottle lasts you 6 to 7 days. We order a case/month each. Some may say it is expensive but what is your health worth.
Some people smoke, some drink at least 1 to 2 bottles of wine/week others must have their case of beer every week, while some go out to dinner every Saturday night. We choose to have our MonaVie juice every day.
I am a real person and I've seen what MonaVie has done for my husband, the truck driver that introduced me to this product has taken care of his prostate problems, before MonaVie he had to get up in the middle of the night at least 3 to 4 times, now he's doing his nights, I tease him about it. Some got ride of their allergy others didn't have to go trough a knee surgery and this lady can go trough her period without the cramps and the over flow.
As far as your bottle being under your desk in a warm area I could not tell you if it is still good. If the seal is broke and the bottle has been open then I know that it is not good, it must be refrigerated once it is open. It is just like fruits left on the counter, they will spoil.
I hope I was able to answer your questions Suzanne.
