I always appreciate your insightful ways of making rheumatoid arthritus manageable by being upbeat and maintaining that positive attitude in spite of times of extra pain and inabilily to do the things I used to. Fatigue is a problem and I just keep doing more than I probably should, but it helps to have your positive perspective on the changes, differences and uniqueness that each individual possesses. I enjoyed hearing about your boys. I have four wonderful sons, one who will be getting married in one month, and I am eagerly waiting to get to walk my son down the aisle to meet his bride. Walking isn't always easy for me, but I wouldn't disappoint my son for the world. I'll know that the next day I will compensate and rest a bit more. Thank you for your messages.

Friday, May 29, 2009 at 08:45 PMi have worked with disabled people for many years i remember one of my clients asked me why she couldn't be normal my reply "because God made you special and than i asked her what normal was ? she had no idea. So my question to everyone what is normal ? and remember GOD MADE US SO WE ARE SPECIAL. since i got RA i take life slower and notice things that for many years i didn't have time to notice. Like all of you many days i am so tired i can hardly hold my head up but others i work hard ...than pay for it the next few days.I have learned to slow down and look around. I have learned it's ok to ask for help , and most importantly i have learned that life with or without RA is what we make of it. So what if the dishes don't get done they will still be there tomorrow but or family and friends may not be. so just do what you can and don't fret over the rest. May God bless you all

You are right. I am not normal. Thanks for giving me a laugh today, I mean how can you not laugh when you say to yourself, "I am not Normal." But thanks also for reminding me that some of my abilities maybe different now from what they were a few years ago but there is still so much more I can do than I can't do.
