The last visit to the doctor's wasn't my best. He used the old saying of "use it or lose it" because I had very little range of motion in my shoulder. I guess you could say that was my "hello" call. Wake up you dummy.
Now, I hate exercise and anything to do with it. I even hate to walk the dogs. But something had to be done. A co-worker of mine had been exercising on and off during her lunch hour in the conference room. She was doing a chair exercise tape that was recommended by someone in our Health & Wellness department. I gave it a try and continued even when I didn't want to move at all. It is easy to follow, increased your energy, builds strength, and doesn't leave you feeling drained or sore. I started in January and almost 12 weeks later I'm still doing it 4 to 5 times a week. My range in motion in my shoulder is almost 100% better, it will never be 100% totally again. I urge you to try them. There are hundreds of them out there and most only take 20 to 30 minutes to do. This coming from and anti-exerciser. :)
I don't want to lead you to believe that I'm great all the time because I still have my days where I don't want to move or I have to take pain meds. But it's not as often as it use to be. At least it appears that way. Anyways I hope this is some help.

Well so happy to hear that u manage to get your exercise in everyday. There was a time when i was either sitting on my sofa or in my bed most of the day with so much pain i did not want to move. I have beeb living with RA for 3 yrs now and finally have it under control and i only take 1/2 of a pills every nite. My RA is directly related 2 what i eat. If i eat 2 much proteins then i have swelling around my knees and fingers. So i eat little proteins and no dairy products. Its hard but eating veggies and fruits most of the time is the best thing for me cause I function so normal and no pains in my shoulder or the rest of my body for that matter and now i do TAEBO exercises for bout an 1 hr a day and i feel energized and happy. Never thought i'd be this normal and this active again. Just keep a positive attitude and listen 2 ur body....
It's such a great feeling knowing that there is this support out here and that there are people who understand what it is to have RA. Thank you for your support and keep up the great work yourself. It sounds like you are on the right track!
